Around 200 people gathered at a rally in Tehran on Wednesday, praising the Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at US president George W.Bush.

Muntadhar Al-Zeidi has been in custody since he threw two shoes at Bush during a news conference in Baghdad earlier this month.

And he is set to stand trial for his outburst. His case has become a focus for Iraqis and others who resent the US.
