In Lebanon, hundreds gathered in Beirut outside the Egyptian Embassy to vent their anger at Egypt's closing of the crossing at Rafah bordering Gaza last Saturday. Hundreds of police surrounded the embassy, which was swathed in barbed wire to keep out the protesters, who carried symbolic black coffins with the words "We are Gaza".

In Turkey's biggest city, Istanbul, thousands of protesters gathered outside a mosque, voicing support for their fellow Muslims in Gaza.

Muzeyyen Sancar, protester, said, "We want the Arabic states not to be asleep, but wake up and continue to resist. We must not let Israel kill all the Muslims."

And in Indonesia, more than 10 thousand people took to the streets to condemn the airstrikes and show support to the Palestinian people. The protesters appealed to the UN to issue a resolution to stop the Israeli attacks on Gaza. They also demanded the United States to do more to halt the Israeli strikes.
