In China, many residential areas are gated, while in the US, normal middle class level homes are not surrounded by a gate, or even a wall. Neighborhoods that do have this extra layer of protection in the US tend to be upper class neighborhoods with expensive homes.	中国的许多住宅区是封闭式的，而美国的普通中产阶级住宅区则是开放性的，没有大门，也没有围墙。在美国，这种封闭式的住宅区一般都是高档社区。
