Eleven Killed in Two Bus Accidents

Six people were killed and 21 others injured when a bus turned over on Sunday morning in northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, local traffic police said.

The bus, with 49 people aboard, was heading for the regional capital of Yinchuan, from Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan Province. The vehicle slid on the snowy road and turned over near Guyuan City at about 11:30 AM.

Five people were killed immediately and another died on the way to hospital. Most of the 21 injured were in stable condition, doctors said.

On Saturday night, a bus turned over in north China's Shanxi Province, killing five people and injuring at least 30.

Local traffic police said the bus hit a roadside barrier and flipped over on the expressway between Yuncheng and Fenglingdu at about 11:00 PM.

Five people died at the scene and the injured were hospitalized.
