Cultural festival to be held in Malta
Adjust font size:

A Chinese cultural festival will be held in Valletta, capital of the Republic of Malta, in late January to promote traditional Chinese culture and celebrate the upcoming Chinese Spring Festival, or Chinese New Year, according to news reaching Rome on Thursday.

The 2008 Chinese Spring Festival in Valletta, jointly organized by the China Cultural Center in Malta and the Valletta municipal government, is the second of its kind following similar activities held successfully in 2007.

Zheng Hao, director of the China Cultural Center in Malta, told Xinhua that the festival aims to present the very charming and colorful Chinese culture, and enable Maltese people to enjoy a happy and peaceful Chinese festival.

Chinese cultural presentations, including acrobatics, traditional Chinese opera and music, will be performed at Malta's National Theater on Jan. 29-30.
