HK Disneyland Unveils 3 New Attractions

Hong Kong Disneyland unveiled on Wednesday three new attractions which will officially open to visitors Thursday.

The attractions include Stitch Encounter, Autopia and UFO Zone and are all located at Tomorrowland of the park.

Utilizing the latest real time computer graphics animation technology, Stitch Encounter features an intimate theater allowing guests to talk, listen, joke and play with Stitch -- the lovely Disney character.

Autopia is a new driving attraction featuring sleek, electric convertibles cruising along an out-of-this-world landscape. No driving license is required and visitors can enjoy the fun of galloping on highways and byways of the cosmic landscape.

Splash-tastic fun and water-full good times are always on tap in UFO Zone, where water is always popping, squirting, spurting and splattering.

"We are pleased to kick off our first summer in Hong Kong Disneyland with such innovative and fun entertainment that caters to guests of all ages," said Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Bill Ernest.

Opened in September 2005, the park will soon celebrate its first anniversary, Ernest said.

The official also expressed optimism over meeting the target of number of visitors for the whole year, which is about 5.6 million made at the beginning.
