Hebei's GDP hit 2.42 trillion yuan (US$374.68 billion) in 2011, an 11.3 percent increase over 2010, cementing its place at sixth in the nation. Its GDP per capita rose from 28,668 yuan (US$4,235) in 2010 to 33,462 yuan (US$5,181) in 2011. In 2011, Hebei posted 18,292 yuan (US$2,832) in per capita disposable income for urban households and 7,120 yuan (US$1,102) in per capita net income for rural households, an increase of 12.5 percent and 19.5 percent respectively. Its GDP in 2011 was close to that of Saudi Arabia in 2010 at US$375.77 billion.
