The London Book Fair, one of the world's biggest international literary events, has been called off due to concerns over the novel coronavirus outbreak.

"The London Book Fair 2020, scheduled to take place at Olympia, London, from March 10 to 12 will be canceled following the escalation of COVID-19 in Europe," said a statement issued by organizers Reed Exhibitions on March 4.

The annual event is a global marketplace for rights negotiation and the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, TV, film, and digital channels.
