The Chelsea Flower Show 2020, which was scheduled to take place from May 19 to 23, has been canceled due to coronavirus fears for the first time since the World War II.

The Chelsea Flower Show, formally known as the Great Spring Show, is an annual event held by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in Chelsea, London. It is the most famous flower and landscape gardens show in the United Kingdom, and perhaps in the world.

"Following the Government update on March 16 and the ongoing situation with COVID-19, all RHS Shows, Garden Events, and school visits will be canceled with immediate effect until June 30, 2020," the RHS announced in a statement on March 17.
