Both skeletons stand more than nine meters tall. When they were alive, each of them would have weighed ten times that of an adult elephant. In spite of their huge size, both were herbivores.

For its 20th birthday, the museum also showcased the skeletons of two ancient mammals that are ancestors of today's whales. The display has proved extremely popular with the local crowds, especially children.
