Renowned Chinese author Wang Anyi was awarded Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) by the French government on Sept.26, 2013.

Wang's major works include "Lapse of Time," "Love in a Small Town," "Love on a Barren Mountain," "Baotown," and "The Song of Everlasting Sorrow."
