SEPA Calls for Rethink on Plant
The country's top environmental watchdog yesterday called on the coastal city of Xiamen to rethink its plan to allow the construction of a chemical plant and said an environmental impact assessment of the city's urban planning is on the cards.
Ideas Pour into Xiamen over Chemical Project
The Xiamen government has received 1,557 opinions so far from local residents since it began seeking ideas from the public last Friday on the future of a huge chemical project whose construction it has suspended, China News Service reported today.
