Stampede Kills 37 in Lantern Festival
A total of 37 people were killed and 15 injured in a Lantern Festival gathering Thursday night in Beijing's suburban Miyun County, sources with the municipal government said.
Beijing to Enroll More Foreign Students
Beijing universities are to enroll an extra 10,000 foreign students in 2004, a rise of 33 percent over last year, an official with the Beijing Municipal Education Commission said recently. The move would expand international exchanges in higher education.
