Chinese textile giant acquires US garment firm
Youngor Group Co., Ltd., China's leading textile manufacturer, has acquired XinMa Apparel International Limited for US$120 million, the company announced on Wednesday.
Cotton yield hits record high in 2007
China's cotton yield was estimated at more than 7 million tons last year, a record high. Its growth was 4.5 percent higher than the 2006 level of 6.7 million tons, Ministry of Agriculture sources said on Thursday.
