Worries Experts
Between 1999 and 2001, China experienced consecutive years of high temperatures with a rising average temperature. What influences will this warming trend have on the Chinese environment? And what measures should be taken to reduce the its destructiveness? A reporter from the Science Times recently interviewed Ding Yihui, special advisor on climate changes of the Chinese Meteorological Administration and former co-chair of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), who gives some answers. World Bank President Fields Questions at Peking University
China has a “good chance” of solving the problem of illiteracy in the country before the year 2015, World Bank Group President James D. Wolfensohn said Wednesday in a meeting with students and faculty covered by china.org.cn following his keynote address at Peking University. 6-Nation Group Meets in Shanghai on Economic Cooperation
Economic and trade ministers of the six members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization are having their first meeting in Shanghai today and tomorrow.
