State Relaxes Control of Airfares
A new regulation on the pricing of flight tickets, which will take effect on April 20, allows for more fluctuations in pricing depending on market demand. So the market may soon play a bigger role in determining the cost of airfares in China.
HK Not a Testing Ground for Political System
The Hong Kong Legislative Council (LegCo) on March 17 voted down a motion initiated by democrat James To, who urged the task force on constitutional development to consult the public with proposals on political review. "We shall not treat Hong Kong as a testing ground for a political system," said Hong Kong government Chief Secretary Donald Tsang at the LegCo session.
China Urges Lift of Poultry Import Ban
China called on other countries Wednesday to lift import bans on poultry and poultry products imposed out of fear of the bird flu. By Tuesday, 48 countries and regions had taken measures to stop or restrict the import of poultry and poultry products from Chinese mainland.

National Grand Theater: Studying the Three Obsessions
