Landscape painting by Jiang Maode

This painting by Jiang Maode is kept in the Palace Museum. The painting is composed on green silk, and originally decorated the inner eaves of Fuwangge in the Forbidden City. Before its repair, there were mainly folds, cracks, and missing parts to the painting. After restoration, the painting has been returned to its natural splendor, with high mountains, white clouds, and the official buildings hidden between the peaks now clearly depicted.
